[jsfg_cinti] Recent problems with posting to the JSFG E-mail Mailing List

Dear JSFG E-mail Mailing List subscribers,
Recently we have received reports of individuals having difficulties posting to 
the JSFG E-mail Mailing List.  

These individuals have reported that while they have sent an e-mail to the 
mailing list with their desired message, their e-mail was never "posted" in 
that they never received a copy of their message back from the list.

Upon investigation it was determined that they were sending the e-mail to the 
mailing list from an e-mail address which was not "subscribed" to the mailing 
list.  That is to say, they had never followed the procedure for subscribing 
that particular e-mail address of theirs to the mailing list.  That procedure 
is given at URL:

IMPORTANT NOTE:
For your information, only those e-mail addresses that have been "subscribed" 
to the mailing list are authorized to "post" to the mailing list.  MESSAGES 
FROM ALL OTHER E-MAIL ADDRESSES ARE IGNORED.  


This restriction is discussed in the JSFG E-mail Mailing List FAQ at URL:

where it states:

"Q: How do I post to the JSFG E-mail Mailing List?
A: Simply send an e-mail to jsfg_cinti@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx 
Assuming you're allowed to post to the list (i.e., you 
are a subscriber and have not been banned) your e-mail 
will be sent to everyone on the list, including you."

I plan to change the FAQ to emphasis the fact that you must "post" to the list 
from a "subscribed" e-mail address.  In the meantime let me try to make it 
clear that:

ALL POSTINGS TO THE JSFG E-MAIL MAILING LIST MUST BE MADE FROM E-MAIL ADDRESSES 
THAT ARE "SUBSCRIBED" TO THE LIST.  ALL MESSAGES FROM E-MAIL ADDRESSES THAT 
HAVE NOT BEEN "SUBSCRIBED" TO THE LIST ARE IGNORED.  IF YOU HAVE MULTIPLE 
E-MAIL ACCOUNTS, YOU MUST SUBSCRIBE EACH ACCOUNT SEPARATELY WITH THE MAILING 
LIST IF YOU WISH TO USE IT TO SEND POSTINGS TO, AND RECEIVE POSTINGS FROM, THE 
LIST.  SUBSCRIBING JUST ONE OF YOUR E-MAIL ACCOUNTS TO THE MAILING LIST DOES 
NOT AUTOMATICALLY SUBSCRIBE ALL OF YOUR E-MAIL ACCOUNTS WITH THE MAILING LIST.
