Title:          R/D Mechanical Auditor (Receiving Inspection)

Location:       KDI Precision Products, Inc.

Job Summary:  
Be capable of being trained in accord with various Military Standards (MIL-STDs 
and Industry Soldering Standards) following KDI training.  Comply with 
electronic static sensitive (ESS) precautions.  Perform dimensional and visual 
inspection of electronic components and mechanical parts and assembly in 
accordance with MIL-STD-1916 or program specific standard, military and 
commercial soldering specifications and other applicable Government data, KDI 
engineering drawing(s) and KDI purchase orders.  Select lot samples in 
accordance with specific sampling plans and check for compliance with purchase 
requirements, shop orders, service requisitions, blueprints, etc. (paragraph 
7.3) and perform SPC as required.  Prepare inspection reports and forward to 
proper destination.  Check that components, assemblies and piece parts are 
packaged, properly identified and routed to correct department or storage area 
following inspection.  Good communication skills.  Perform housekeeping  in 
accordance with directions.  Perform special assigned functions.  These 
functions must be within scope of ability or training.  Participate in teaming 
activities when appropriate.  Share job knowledge methods and techniques with 
all peers in inspection.

Experience/Education:  
High school completion or GED certificate preferred.  Will consider equivalent 
combination of education and experience at KDI.  Must be able to read, write, 
count (full, fractional and decimal) English/metric numbers, follow oral and 
written instructions and have a basic knowledge of engineering drawings.  One 
year production/assembly experience related to small mechanical/electronic 
piece parts or assemblies.  Must be able to use various type precision 
measuring devices (micrometers, verniers, comparators, etc.)  Knowledge of 
mechanical/electronic piece part inspection procedures desirable.  Capability 
to be trained IAW ANSJ-STD and IPC -A-610 Soldering Standards.

Salary Range:   $11.89 - 13.00 per hour
