e.      Purchase order placement and management
f.      Contract administration
g.      Supplier development activities
h.      Supplier performance tracking and management to insure 1 On-time 
Delivery, 2 Quality and 3 Pricing.
i.      Coordinate supplier production part approval process
j.      Implement cost reduction strategies in accordance with company goals 
and objectives.
k.      Coordinate purchasing activities with 1 Global Purchasing Group, 2 
Product Lines, and 3 Service Centers.
l.      Develop effective supplier relationships that exceed the global 
procurement strategy.
m.      Act as project manager by guiding projects based on business 
requirements and/or purchasing activities.

Experience:

$B,&(B        Minimum 3-5 years purchasing experience in a QS9000, Tier I or 
Tier 
II Automotive company.
$B,&(B        3 years should be focused on engineered components in the 
following 
commodities:
a.      Metal Stampings
b.      Rubber to Metal Parts
c.      Screw Machine and CNC
d.      Plastic Injection Mold (desired)
e.      Welding
f.      Hot Formed Springs
g.      Tube products
$B,&(B        International purchasing experience.
$B,&(B        Minority/Diversity supplier sourcing and development experience.

Required Skills:

$B,&(B        Successful negotiation techniques.
$B,&(B        Strong professional/technical knowledge of multiple 
manufacturing 
processes for producing engineered components.
$B,&(B        Strong knowledge of contracts, contract negotiation and 
contract 
administration.
$B,&(B        Good organizational skills.
$B,&(B        Good communication skills (written & verbal).
$B,&(B        Able to work in a Team oriented environment.
$B,&(B        Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently with 
minimal supervision.
$B,&(B        Excellent problem solving ability.
$B,&(B        Computer literate (proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power 
Point, and MS Project).
$B,&(B        Knowledgeable of an AS400 Main Frame Data Base.
$B,&(B        Extensive hands on purchasing and project management experience.

Education:

$B,&(B        Bachelor Degree: Business, Purchasing, Finance, Accounting, or 
Engineering.

$B,&(B        Experienced with or knowledge of ISO/TS 16949 quality system
