      Description

      Fidelity Employer Services Company (FESCO) Systems Team located in
Covington, Kentucky is looking for a Project Manager to assist in
cross-business product analysis and project management duties for
multi-practice web-based solutions for our customers and internal associates
in various business segments.  The individual will be responsible for
managing multiple initiatives related to Associate Workstation applications
developed by Covington Systems. These initiatives require working closely
with various business units, FESCO systems groups, and other Fidelity
technology organizations. The individual will work with all of the involved
business and system partners throughout the Fidelity Systems Development
Methodology project life cycle. This includes defining business
requirements, completing system and technical documents, developing and
managing overall project schedules, and leading a team of programmers
through the development and testing phases.
      As a Development Manager, this person will have direct reports,
including both employees and contractors, and will be responsible for
providing performance feedback and evaluations.




The Project Manager will be responsible for:

-          Providing experienced leadership to the Covington Systems
development teams

-          Helping to manage/oversee the development of changes for the
Associate Workstation Application.

-          Coordination of technical analysis, planning and managing
development activities.

-         Planning and/or conducting testing activities.

-         Planning install and verification activities.

-         Work queue management.

-         Project Management for system wide infrastructure changes and
upgrades

-         Work closely with the business subject matter experts, technical
leads and users in your capacity as a Project Manager in our organization.

-         Will provide Fidelity with project management, technical support,
and guidance for various system initiatives to move the department forward
in the area of technology.

-         Will provide consulting services to business units or other
customers inquiring about any supported application with a concentration on
internet based projects.

-         The incumbent will make decisions, manage, and conduct/coordinate
testing regarding proposed solutions and must exercise strong judgment while
resolving issues and escalating risk to the next level of management.



Qualifications

The selected candidate will possess the following:

-          5-10 years experience within the IT field, in financial services,
or related environment providing systems analysis/project management
expertise for medium to large projects in complex technology based
businesses. BA/BS degree or the equivalent.

-          2 to 3 years of project management experience, including
familiarity with project planning and tracking tools, such as MS Project.

-          Bachelor's degree or equivalent education or experience

-          Ability to prioritize, manage, and coordinate team tasks.

-          Ability to define business needs, scope and requirements for
medium to large scale projects impacting internal operations and customer
processes

-          Superior communication skills and ability to work effectively
with business staff, technical staff and senior management to accomplish
project delivery.

-          Must be an organized self-starter with a collaborative work style
and customer service focus.

-          Experience with development of multi-platform, web-based systems
with complex business logic and process design is a must.

-          Six Sigma training and background is desired but not required.
