Members,
Remember this Monday is the Profiles Mailing Party
immediately after the General Meeting. This will be Howard Binzer's final
mailing party to lead, as Howard has found work that will conflict with
weekly JSFG visits. That is, after all, why we're all here in the first
place. Denise Becker has graciously stepped up to pick up this critical
volunteer job, and will be working with us Monday.
Monday is also the official beginning of putting the
December profiles issue together, although we have 4-5 already scheduled.
Remember that the profile edition is named for the month it's to be used by
employers, not the month we put it together. So we're mailing out the
November issue on Monday, and starting to build the December issue. That
gives us the weeks of the 1st, 8th, & 15th of November to submit your
December profiles, so I can have them ready to print by the 22nd. Then
December profiles will be mailed on Nov. 29th. If you just want us to renew
your existing profile for December, all you need do is let me know, in
writing, (since I'm a bit short term memory challenged) by the 15th. You
can do that on the web page profile submissions link, just put RENEW in the
profile box, or you can e-mail me at profileschair@jsfg , or you can pay me
on any Monday and I'll write you a receipt, my copy of which becomes that
"written notice". Of course you can submit a new profile on the same web
page, or if necessary use the paper submission available in the office.
Paper submissions need to be left in or mailed to the PROFILES mailbox in
the JSFG office, and I must have them a week earlier than electronic
submissions, because I'm only in the office on Mondays. So I must have
paper submissions by the 8th. I'd much prefer electronic submissions.
This will be our final opportunity in 2004 to put our
employment qualifications in front of the 899 employers curently receiving
JSFG Profiles to use as a recruiting source. The $10 cost, to cover
printing & mailing, is a pretty good investment, especially when it results
in someone seeing and being impressed by your qualifications that might not
otherwise know that you're out here looking. It may become a great
Christmas gift to yourself.
See You Monday, & Good Hunting,
Dave Estell
(your profiles guy)
