Job Description

 

      Job Title:
     Process Engineer
     
       
      
     
      Reports To:
     Anodizing Production Manager
     
       
      
     
      Job Summary:
     Develop, maintain and improve the manufacturing operation of Floturn's 
automated Anodizing line.  Day to day responsibilities will include monitoring 
line performance, systems maintenance, process improvement and supervision.  
The successful candidate for this position must posses a strong desire to bring 
about process improvements and a desire to advance in the organization.
     
       
      
     
      Job Duties/ Responsibilities:
      

      Major Responsibilities

      1.               Maintain inspection and testing procedures to ensure 
expected quality levels are achieved.

      2.               Maintain the process chemistry for an automated 
anodizing line.  Responsible for conducting daily evaluation of the line 
chemistry and process adjustments to ensure maintenance of proper process 
parameters.

      3.               Assist in the supervision of 8-12 employees including 
training, planning, assigning and directing work.

      4.               Provide corrective actions and solutions for process 
related problems.

      5.               Evaluate the current processes and identify and 
implement new methods/procedures for process improvement resulting in decreased 
labor and material costs, improved efficiency and yields.  

      6.               Assist in the design, development and implementation of 
new manufacturing processes and products.

      7.               Other duties as assigned.

       
     
      Requirements:
     1.               Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts 
and draw valid conclusions.

      2.               Able to effectively present information to employees at 
all levels of the organization, customers and suppliers.

      3.               Knowledge of stistical and process improvement tools 
including SPC, DOE and lean manufacturing.

      4.               Able to manage projects including prioritizing multiple 
task, initiate projects and drive projects to completion.

      5.               Able to work effectively in team situations.

       
     
      Education and Experience:
      

      1.               Bachelor's degree; Engineering preferred.

      2.               Manufacturing experience a plus.  

      3.               PC skills.

      4.               Excellent communications skills.

      5.               Management skills a plus.
