[jsfg_cinti] Re: Pre-Employment Industrial Psychologist Interview

Pre-employment assessment tests seem to be more common these days.
There are even a couple of local companies that create assessment
products that employers use - Devine Inventory and Cutter Group
Management. I think their web sites have some info about the purpose of
the tests.

Subject: [jsfg_cinti] Pre-Employment Industrial Psychologist Interview

All:
I believe I am close to landing a position in the marketing/research
group of a manufacturing firm. One last step in the hiring process is an
extensive session (including testing) with an industrial psychologist. I
have been told that all new hires go through this process.

I am not particularly concerned about the interview or the testing...
but as I've never had to go through this experience, I was wondering if
anyone had feedback on what I might expect during my 3.5 hours there!?

Is this step in the hiring process becoming more common with employers?
Or is it limited to certain industries?

Thank you in advance for your feedback!
