Work Hours:  Both shifts will be worked between the Tech l and Tech ll

Other Months (Apr- Oct)             Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri 7:00am-

The Cincinnati/Northern KY International Airport has a full-time
position available for a Stormwater Treatment Plant Technician l & ll.
A Technician performs operational tasks involved in the operation and
maintenance of the Stormwater Treatment plant and Glycol
Processing/Recycling Facility equipment and processes.
 
Specifically, maintains and operates plant equipment and processes
related to SWTP and GPRF systems.  Prioritizes activities between the
different treatment facilities and systems, including operator of
valves, gates, pumps and machinery manually, locally in automatic mode
or remote via computerized control strategy.  Samples and analyzes
influents/effluents, source water/product water, feed water and permeate
to detect quality variations, interpret laboratory results, reading
sheets, process test, computerized data and information trends to
identify variations  in flow and water quality and make appropriate
changes. Maintenance and calibration of field equipment and controls.
Responds to plant emergencies; and maintains a safe, clean and orderly
work environment.  Performs other duties as assigned.  
 
The applicant must have a High School diploma or equivalent.  Two years
experience in Chemical Production Processing or Stormwater/Wastewater
Treatment Plant utilizing maintenance skills OR successful completion of
a two year Associate’s Degree in science, industrial technology or
engineering related field. Must possess anad maintain a valid operators
license.  Complete required OSHA/Safety training as required.  
 
Ability to lift and carry heavy (up to 60 pounds or more) equipment,
drums and chemicals for distances of 20 feet or more with the assistance
of a hand cart or power equipment.  Ability to operate a forklift.
Ability to independently work with and/or maneuver small hand tools:
and, work outdoors in all weather conditions.
 
Must possess and exercise good basic working knowledge of laboratory
operations, terminal operations and products handling and testing
procedures.  Must possess varied instrument and specified methodology
applications required.  Must be able to determine, monitor and
coordinate analysis of facility effluent byproducts and prepare
documentation.  Myst have good communication skills, both oral and
written.  Must have good interpersonal skills.  Must respond to
call-outs and work overtime assignments as required.  Must have good
judgment and able to work with limited instruction and supervision.
Must possess computer skills including but not limited to: Microsoft
Excel, Word and Powerpoint.  Prefer to be proficient in all internal and
external aspects RSView operations monitoring system.
