I am forwarding an email from the CEO of Health Alliance. This bill is
very important to the future of health care in Ohio. Right now,
physicians have the right to refer patients to hospitals which they own.
We want to change that. A sample letter is attached. Also, attached
are representative names and district numbers by zip. A generic email
address is included into which you enter your district number. I
hope you will support this bill. Pls do not hesitate to call or email
me with any questions.
Thanks.

FROM: Ken Hanover, President

If you live in Ohio, there is still time - and it is still critical -
to contact your state legislator to urge him or her to vote for HB71, a
bill intended to close the loophole in state laws that allows physicians
to own hospitals to which they can refer patients. Please make this
contact today (Tuesday) or tomorrow (Wednesday).

I sent you information on this bill last week and yesterday, along with
a request that you write or call your state representative to urge him
or her to vote for HB71. =20

Thank you to everyone who took the time to get in touch with their
legislators. The bill is expected to be voted on in the House this
Thursday, and is it very important that legislators hear from
supporters of the bill.

Please contact your state legislator today to express your support for
the bill. Given the short time before the vote, please call, email or
fax the representative for your district immediately. If you call, your
message can be as simple as:
=B7 I'm asking you to support House Bill 71 to protect our community
hospitals

A draft letter which you can use as an email or fax is attached.=20
Please be sure to add the name of the representative for your district
and your home address and zip code.

A list of area representatives, including the ZIP codes for those areas
they represent and their office telephone numbers and email addresses,
is attached. The fax number is the same for all House representatives:
614-644-9494. Be sure to address your fax to a specific representative.

Thank you for your help.
