Hi Bill,

Almost all interviews start with the comment "Is this a good time to talk?"  
Just say no and give a very good reason.

There is a slight chance that you will lose the interview, but if you are 
one of several persons contacted, having a mediocre interview because you 
are not prepared is more of a negative than setting a future appointment.

If someone does NOT give you the option, I would have a reason that I would 
give for not continuing.  My favorite is that I have my calls forwarded to 
my cellphone and I doing 65 miles per hour on the interstate.  Leaving for 
an important appointment is another good reason.

Your choice, but if you do not feel prepared for the interview, be prepared 
with a way to set up a future interview.  Act interested but in a hurry.
