Primary Responsibilities:

*Provides technology development and product development with innovative
concepts and ideas to initiate, develop, and expand Shepherd's metal based
chemical business.

*Handles and implements complex procedures and devises novel and unique
methods/techniques/ways of solving problems.

*Independently conceives, sets-up and carries out complex experimental plans
and procedures without day-to-day supervision but with discussion and
consensus as appropriate.

*Generates, interprets and reports on data, even where little casual
relationships have previously existed.

*Travels to customer locations fro sales support, product introduction, line
trials as required; participation in Trade Shows.

*We will insist on the best because our goal is to provide world class
customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

*PhD in Chemistry, with substantial experience in inorganic/organometallics
highly preferred) industry and a record of accomplishment in the industry.

*Track record of capabilities evidenced by new technologies and products
developed invention disclosures/patents/papers.

*History of direct contact with customers and successful customer problem
solving.

*Proven track record of team participation, contribution and effective
interaction with production, marketing/sales and customer personnel.

*Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

*Must be willing and able to travel to customer sites and production
facilities as required.
