[jsfg_cinti] PROGRAMS COMMITTEE CHAIR NEEDED --- Please Volunteer

JSFG Members:
As noted Monday, Chuck Sacks has landed a new position and as a result the 
Chair for Programs is OPEN.  Chuck did an oustanding job in the role and has 
most of the program days planned for into early April.  

This is a great opportunity for someone to get involved in JSFG.  We have a 
lot information for this position including contact lists, thank you letters 
and confirmation letters. 

What I need is someone to step up to the plate and play a more active role 
on the field with the rest of the Steering Committee.

Below, your review and inspiration is the position description.   Even if 
you can only take over for the next 4 weeks that is a welcomed start.

Position: Programs Committee Chair
 
Brief Job Description:
 
The Programs Committee makes all arrangements for speakers and programs at 
the JSFG General Membership Meetings. Speakers are scheduled in the 9:30 to 
10:30 AM time slot.
 
Responsibilities:
 
1.      Determine what topics are important to the JSFG membership (periodic 
surveys)
2.      Recruit, screen, and select speakers whose expertise most closely 
matches with the topics identified by the group
3.      Assist with all arrangements for the speaker including audio-visual 
equipment, handouts, etc.
4.      Send confirmation letters to scheduled speakers, call to confirm 
their engagement the week before, and send thank you letters from the group 
after the presentation
5.      Make announcements about JSFG programs and speakers
6.      Recruit and train your replacement 
7.      Attend the Steering committee meetings
