Folks,

My wife is a librarian with Cincinnati Public and the following opening
is available there.  It is a near entry level position but there may be
someone at JSFG who would fit.  Note that the closing date for applying
is January 7.  Because of the cut and paste, it probably won't line up
right; but should be readable.

               PC Application Specialist

Duties:

     Test new applications for compatibility with existing applications
and build software sets.
     Develop PC-Pal, Teen and Reference CD-ROM stations.
     Configure and upgrade workstations, printers, etc.
     Work with the Network Administrator to test and troubleshoot
applications on network servers.
     Provide PC support including break/fix. Support PS connections to
the AS/400, the Internet etc.
     Write PC installation documentation.

Qualifications:

     Two or more years of experience in PC hardware and software
support.
     Strong familiarity with PC operating systems, network connectivity
issues, CD-ROM configuration, Microsoft Office products, PC utility
software, etc.
     Excellent interpersonal skills, including building and enhancing
diverse relationships.
     The position requires a person who is a self-starter and externally
oriented.
     Project management and documentation skills.
     Ability to work in a changing environment.
     Must have a valid driver's license, have a driving record
acceptable to the Library's insurance carrier and have access to a car.

 Education:
           Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science
or an equivalent combination of education and experience. MCP and A+
certification
           is desirable.
 Hours:
           40 hours per week.
 Salary:
           Grade 8: $34,153.60 - $49,108.80 per annum.
 Deadline:
           January 7, 2002
