[jsfg_cinti] Open Positions at KDI Precision Products

KDI Precision Products mailed a letter to the JSFG office describing 3 open
positions.  Here's a brief summary of each.

1. Production Planner II is "...responsible for planning, releasing,
monitoring, rescheduling, updating, and closure of work orders.  Check
availability of raw material, component parts,and sub-assemblies prior to
releasing work orders.  Initiate work orders in accordance with MRP
scheduling requirements..."

Required is "high school diploma ...or equivalent...four years experience
performing manual or computer production control planning functions related
to manufacturing and assembly operations in a build to order environment for
close tolerance mechanical, electro-mechanical or electronic piece part
assemblies.  Must have a good working knowledge of MRPII control system and
production scheduling.  Must be experienced in maintaining computer files
related to production control..."

Salary range:  $42,000-$45,000

2. CM Technician will "...assist CM supervisor in maintaining Configuration
Baseline records.  Operate CRT to input and change Status Accounting Data
Files.  Log, track and report status of proposed design changes..."

Required is "...high school graduate or equivalent...work experience in
manufacturing or engineering environment desired.  Data entry and blueprint
reading abilities desired.  Experience in preparing procedures and work
instructions desired.  Experience in organizing PC files and Microsoft
directories required..."

Salary range:  $27,000-$29,000

3. Senior Technical Writer will "...research technical data and format it
into draft copy of technical manual, report, etc...determine type of art
required to support technical manual, report, etc.  Integrate art and
graphics required with draft copy into preliminary copy.  Review preliminary
technical documentation prepared by others and revise.  Review final draft
copy with project engineers or program managers...proof final
manual...assist in proposal preparation.  Prepare KDI brochures, fliers,
catalogs, etc..."

Required is "...technical background and training in the comprehensive use
of computer applications:  word processing, spreadsheets, graphical software
applications, printers, copiers, laminators, overhead camera's video
conferencing equipment, digital cameras and video equipment.  Exposure to
multiple graphical data formats and capture and manipulations of these data
items...previous work experience will include document creation and
preparation using technical data supplied by customers and engineering
staff.  A technical background in electro-mechanical products is essential.
An associates degree in engineering sciences a plus.  Minimum 5 years
experience preparing technical reports and plans, instruction manuals, parts
manuals, proposals, provisioning data and other type technical data..."

Salary range:  $60,000-$65,000
