[jsfg_cinti] Re: Need HR Advice

Jamie, you indicated that the VP told you that he will get back with you
in the morning after checking your reference; I think he created the
expectation and would be OK to contact him after lunch. This way if he
is having trouble reaching your references you can offer to help or get
the offer from a busy VP.

Subject: [jsfg_cinti] Need HR Advice
Importance: High

Dear JSFG Members,

I had an interview with the vice president of a company that went real
favorable. He indicated that he thought I was the right man for the job.

When I asked when he expected to make a decision he responded first
thing
tomorrow morning! He said he needed to check out my references and then
indicated he would make me an offer. After the interview I immediately
called up all my references and told them what to expect, mostly by
voice
mail. Upon returning home I sent an email to the VP thanking him for a
pleasant interview and that I would be looking forward to his morning
call.

Here in is my dilemma: It is almost 10:30am and no phone call. Do I call

him? Or is that too desperate. Or should I just wait and pray.

Jamie
