      Description:   
      For this position you must have a BS and at least five years of 
experience in metrology or related fields. Having a working knowledge of 
metrology theory, principles, and practices in assigned measurements areas is 
also required. Understanding of theory and application of measurement 
uncertainty analysis. The Engineer is responsible for providing engineering 
support for AFPSL and Technical Order functions. Designs optical systems with 
specific characteristics to fit within specified physical limits of precision 
optical instruments. Essential functions include: determines specifications for 
operations and makes adjustments to calibrate and obtain specified operational 
performance, design inspection instruments to test optical systems for defects, 
such as aberrations and deviations. You will also be required to perform other
