I'm sorry, a critique of this ad is way too good to pass up. This ad
should say:
"Stodgy and unimaginative company blissfully unaware of current economic
and demographic trends seeks non-diverse Sales employee who blindly shares
core beliefs."
The funny thing about ads like this is that they don't make me angry...they
just give me an overwhelming sense of puzzlement.
Take care.

Job Title Medical Sales Rep
Job ID: 4014PM
Company: National Register Columbus
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio USA
Salary: $120000 - 130000
Industry:
Function:
Name:
Phone: 614-890-1200

Description:
Responsible for sales, market development and account management in a
defined territory of key surgery accounts. 70% of time spent selling
abdominal and thoracic grafts, peripheral grafts and fabrics and 30% of
time will be spent selling stents, balloons, guides, wires and related
intervention products to key Vascular Surgeons, Cardiovascular/Thoracic
Surgeons and General surgeons.Responsibilities include developing
multi-level relationships within key accounts, developing key opinion
leaders, increasing sales, achieving sales forecast and meeting budget
objectives. Presence in surgery is required to educate the customers on
products, procedures and industry trends. Rep is required to develop and
maintain an in-depth knowledge of accounts through profiling, to include
competitor activity, market share per product, and important
contact/decision-makers.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have started his/her sales career
immediately after graduation by joining a Fortune 500 organization, or
quickly used their first sales job to get into a Fortune company. It is
also required that this individual is at least 5 years into their Fortune
500 career, and is now in a leadership role (district manager, sales
trainer, or senior sales person with documentable leadership
responsibilities). While healthcare experience is desirable, this company
hires sales trainers and district managers from all of the Fortune 500
players. PREFER THAT THE BACKGROUND NOT BE MORE THAN TWELVE YEARS POST
COLLEGE, AND NO MORE THAN THREE JOBS/COMPANIES IN THAT TIME. UNEMPLOYED IS
A KNOCK OUT. There are also some educational requirements: A BS/BA is
mandatory - preferring a graduate from one of the larger, better known
programs. An even stronger preference for someone who went right from high
school, directly into college, and graduated in 4 years (they do not li
ke to see someone who switched colleges). A 3.0 GPA (cumm) is strongly
preferred, as is a campus background that is filled with leadership roles
and significant activity.
