Market Research Principle.
Job Description: The primary purpose of this role is to identify critical
market trends and analyze drivers of business and program performance by
evaluating primary market research and secondary databases of key market
information. This role will also integrate information from primary market
research, internal data sources and syndicated data sources, and conduct
detailed statistical analysis and trend analysis of multiple data sources to
prepare a view on the performance/health of the business and the impact of
sales and marketing efforts. Data sources from external suppliers including
IMS, NDC, IRI, Scott Levin, ACNielsen and Advance PCS, and contribute to
strategic planning and annual operating planning efforts with analyses of
market trends, competitor market trends.
Requirements include: 5 years of Medical Equipment Marketing or Market
Research experience in the healthcare industry, 5 years experience in
strategic planning, market research, or advanced business analytics, and 5
years experience in advanced analytic techniques applied to syndicated data
sources such as IMS, NDC or ACNielsen. Masters degree desired. Must have
demonstrated expertise with analytical software such as SAS, SPSS, Excel,
and experience and/or formal training in the use of database tools. Should
also possess the ability to quickly identify important information/trends
from a significant amount of data, understand the implications, and create a
concise presentation for key clients.
