[jsfg_cinti] List Serve Postings

All Members:

On occasion questions have come up regarding JSFG's association with 
various groups, organizations, search firms, employers job listings and 
basic issues related to postings on the list serve.

JSFG is continually in process of updating it's policy to assure that our 
members are provided with timely and valuable information that can be used 
to enhance their career opportunities and help transition financially 
during difficult periods of unemployment.

The list serve is a vehicle meant to provide that type of information to 
the members. There is no doubt some instances where members or outside 
interests have posted items that may or may not have value. It is always up 
to the individual member to decide how they may utilize that information 
for their own purpose to meet their own job search or financial need.

One clear area that we do not permit is solicitation/advertisement of 
products or services. The other is pure political advertisements. The 
listserve/membership is not to be used as a marketplace nor an avenue for 
some politician to garner votes for office.

There are several areas, however, that we are looking at to determine our 
editorial position on while keeping censorship of postings to a minimum.

All of this said... and as we continually work through the process of 
refining our guidelines in all areas of support to members...

It is important to make clear JSFG's position:

We do not endorse any cause, group, business, outside interest, 
individual(s), or political party.
