ORGANIZATION:
Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Environmental Management (EM),
Consolidated
Business Center (CBC), Office of Legal Services (OLS)
DUTY LOCATION: Cincinnati, Ohio (downtown)
SALARY: $54,078 to $70,305 per annum
Salary range includes the Cincinnati, OH locality payment adjustment of
17.08%
for

PERMANENT CHANGE OF STATION (PCS):
Reimbursement of standard relocation expenses for permanent change of
station
(PCS) may be paid in accordance with applicable Federal Travel Regulations
(FTR).
The Guaranteed Home Purchase portion of relocation services IS NOT
authorized in
accordance with EM PCS Policy.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
*The selectee's appointment and continued employment is contingent upon a

DUTIES: The U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Environmental Management is
seeking a highly motivated individual to assist the OLS Assistant Director
with
case/task management for the OLS and with interface with the DOE
Office of General Counsel, the US Department of Justice, and other federal,
state,
and private sector legal entities. The incumbent will be responsible for
management of the OLS information services needs such as library service,
electronic legal research, data warehousing, database management and
budgeting
for
these requirements. The incumbent will assist with management of litigation
support contractor resources, and with the improvement of methods and
procedures,
and effective use of resources. The incumbent will also act as the
functional
organizational coordinator for the paraprofessional functions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
All qualification and legal requirements, including time in grade, must be
met
within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement. For more

The basic qualifications for a GS-901-11 are:
(1) Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree OR (2) 3 full years of progressively
higher
level graduate education leading to such a degree OR (3) LL.M. or (4) at
least
one
year of GS-09 grade level (or equivalent) specialized experience such as
that
described below.
Specialized Experience:
Unless qualifying by education alone, or with a combination of education and
experience, your work experience for the GS-11 level must include at least 1
year
of specialized experience at GS-09 (or equivalent) directly related to the
position being filled, and which has equipped the applicant with the
particular
knowledge, skills and abilities needed in order to successfully perform the
duties
of the position. This experience would have included performing legal
administrative functions involving analyzing and evaluating policies,
procedures,
and practices; assisting in case/task management; monitoring and maintaining
a
case tracking database, assuring Blue Book compliance, and assisting with
the
management of litigation support contractor resources.
Combination of Education and Experience: Only graduate education in excess
of (1)
a master's or equivalent graduate degree or (2) 2 full years of
progressively
higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or (3) LL.B or J.D.
may
be used in combination with experience for a GS-11 position.
