generators, etc).  Experience with electronic assembly and disassembly
very desirable.  Thorough knowledge of electronic components.  Working
knowledge (formal training or practical experience) of engineering
drawings, wiring diagrams, schematic and hydraulic and pneumatic

THE JOB 
The Supplier Development Manager works with suppliers in a
partnership-type environment utilizing Continuous Improvement based
procedures, tools and methodologies to develop the Supplier in support
of cost, quality and delivery objectives.  In parallel, the SDM works
collectively with the Supplier and Supply Chain cross-functional project
teams, on new and existing product, to review and verify Supplier
Process Capability is in alignment with product design requirements and
application intent.  Support Quality Assurance groups in review of

/ Organization inspection methodology and gauging correlation.  Insure
corrective action response includes thorough root cause analysis and

Conduct Supplier audits with Commodity Buyers in support of the Supplier

Establish audit-based improvement plans for Suppliers and conduct

initiatives in alignment with Manufacturing Operations goals, with focus

Arm Devices (ESAD) for precision missile and armament applications.  The
Plant is located at 3875 McMann Road, Cincinnati, OH 45245.  Another
plant is located in Lancaster, PA
 
 
THE JOB
The individual will be required to develop mechanisms for monitoring
robust manufacturing processes, quality metrics,  problem intervention,
and problem resolution with; team members, managers, and suppliers.
 
The candidate must conduct technical analysis and reviews of
Manufacturing processes, modifications and enhancements to processes in
accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.
Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, determine solutions in
accordance with product and Customer specifications, and recommend
actions to company or customer representatives in coordinating process
solutions.
 
This individual must evaluate, coordinate, and resolve engineering
related production problems in manufacturing, design, quality and
material engineering.   Analyze engineering specifications and drawings;
as they relate to quality, material, manufacturing, and subcontractor
processes to provide and obtain technical information and problem
resolution.  Skills require the ability to investigate and find root
cause, report defects on damaged or malfunctioning parts, assemblies,
equipment or product.  Develop actions that support permanent problem
resolution that will support production schedules and order deliveries.
Perform process reviews; evaluate findings, and formulating corrective
actions are primary responsibilities while troubleshooting and resolving
production process problems.  
 
The candidate must initiate corrective action to problems and
deficiencies to ensure overall product quality.  Requirements to develop
manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process
control will be required; and to develop techniques and process
improvements that support those manufacturing capabilities.  Provide
guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification
requirements that will best utilize equipment and manufacturing
techniques. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:  BS Manufacturing Engineering,  EE, ME, IE or equivalent
experience.
Experience:  Requires a minimum of 5 years experience  in manufacturing
involving direct shop floor support. Must have strong interpersonal
skills and be self-directed/starter.  Other skills desired are Lean
Manufacturing, SPC, Six Sigma, Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis
(PFMEA), PCB Assembly experience, problem solving, multi-tasking,
tooling concepts/design experience.
