Korn/Ferry International has partnered with Kevin Myatt, SVP of Human
Resources for the Yale New-Haven Health System in the effort to recruit
a talented Vice President of Human Resources for the Yale New-Haven
Hospital (YNHH). As part of the search process, we are contacting
industry leading Healthcare HR Executives for candidate nominations,
including self nominations.
Founded in 1826 as the nation's fifth hospital, YNHH is located in New
Haven, Connecticut. YNHH is a 944-bed tertiary referral medical center
which includes 201 beds designated as the Yale-New Haven Children's
Hospital and 76 beds designated as the Yale-New Haven Psychiatric
Hospital. YNHH serves as the primary teaching hospital for the Yale
University School of Medicine. The Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale is
currently under construction and will add 112 beds in a state of the
art, 14 story 497,000 square foot facility set to open in December of
2009. More than 7,000 employees, including 1,700 registered nurses;
3,400 university and community physicians and more than 500 resident
physicians practicing more than 100 medical specialties at YNHH. 

The Vice President, Human Resources will be responsible for leading,
designing, planning, directing, communicating, and evaluating all
elements of a broad based Human Resources function. This individual will
act as a business partner, internal consultant and advisor to the senior
management team and employee work force, determining and implementing
strategic and tactical Human Resources initiatives in support of the
mission, vision and values for YNHH's most significant resource, its
people.
