vices team.  This position is responsible for the day-to-day support and sy=
stem administration of a dynamic Open Systems platform infrastructure.  The=
 applicant will work closely with the IS&S users, application, operations, =
technical staff and vendors.   =20

Essential Job Functions:
=09Provide ongoing Level 3 support for our enterprise UNIX (primari=
ly AIX & Linux) environments.=20
=09Provide project technical leadership when interfacing and coordi=
nating projects with users, application, operations and technical support t=
eams.
=09Troubleshoot and rectify hardware and OS related issues.
=09Work with vendors on problem handling, resolution, upgrades and =
new product installs.
=09Work with management to maintain a highly productive and stable =
support infrastructure team.
=09Stay abreast of the industry=EF=BF=BDs current and advanced IBM =
pSeries technology changes and direction.
=09Participate in on-call pager rotation.

Requirements_Qualif: =09Three plus years of hands-on experience wit=
h pSeries server environments and the AIX operating system.
=09Experience with HMC and VIO is highly desirable.
=09Experience with ITIL is a plus.
=09Good analytical, problem solving, organizational and project man=
agement skills are required.
=09Good oral communication and technical writing skills.
=09Highly motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and have=
 a strong customer service focus.
=09Ability to work in a team environment, meet deadlines, follow wr=
itten policies/procedures, and develop into a technical leader.
=09Must have technical aptitude and ability to learn new technologi=
es.
=09Ability to handle multiple project assignments concurrently.

=09Hands-on experience and skills in other Unix environments like L=
inux.
=09Hands-on experience and skills with Tivoli Workload Scheduler.
=09Hands-on experience with EMC and IBM SAN attached disk subsystem=
s.
=09Hands-on experience with SDD and PowerPath.
=09Hands-on experience with HACMP.
=09Hands-on experience with BMC performance monitoring too
