The Information Security Engineer will serve multiple roles within the eMax=
x Portal Network and Server Operations department.  The primary function wi=
ll be maintaining security on all aspects of the eMaxx Portal infrastructur=
e.  This includes servers, network, paper, and all aspects of information e=
xchange.  Additionally, the InfoSec Engineer will be responsible for Archit=
ecture and System administration.  The department is a 24x7x365 portal oper=
ations group, and the InfoSec Engineer will from time to time be called upo=
n to assist in all aspects of the operation.

Principal Responsibilities:
=EF=BF=BD=09Infrastructure Security/Design Engineering.
=EF=BF=BD=09Environment risk assessment.
=EF=BF=BD=09Evaluate, correct, and maintain network and sever security, in =
accordance with policy established by the InfoSec Engineer and the Portal S=
erver/NetOps manager.=20
=EF=BF=BD=09Implement environment wide secure access to all servers and net=
work gear.
=EF=BF=BD=09Manage Firewalls and IDS.
=EF=BF=BD=09Setup and maintain VPN access to infrastructure.
=EF=BF=BD=09Evaluate new security products and technologies for production =
use.
=EF=BF=BD=09Lead and coordinate any security incidents, and recovery.
=EF=BF=BD=09Provide Sr. System Administration for Linux, HP-UX, Solaris, Wi=
n2K as well as assisting in administration of a variety of network elements=
.
=EF=BF=BD=09Provide training and direction to mid-level and junior staff. =

=EF=BF=BD=09Assist in Data Center operation.
=EF=BF=BD=09Must be willing to learn new applications as necessary to provi=
de operational support as new projects are implemented.
=EF=BF=BD=09Must be willing to assist in other Portal Ops projects as neede=
d.
=EF=BF=BD=09Must be willing to carry a pager and be on call 24x7.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
=EF=BF=BD=09Proven security experience in a production 24x7x365 operation.
=EF=BF=BD=09In depth knowledge of hacker techniques and Network/OS security=
 principles.
=EF=BF=BD=09Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining servers and=
 security hardware.  Experience with CheckPoint and PIX Firewalls, a plus.
=EF=BF=BD=09Intimate knowledge of TCP/IP and standard internetworking proto=
cols.
=EF=BF=BD=09Excellent verbal and written communication skills as there will=
 be significant interdepartmental interaction.
=EF=BF=BD=09Strong UNIX System administration skills in HPUX, LINUX, Solari=
s, and Win2K.

Minimum Qualifications:
=EF=BF=BD=09Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Masters preferred.
=EF=BF=BD=09GIAC and/or CISSP certification preferred.
=EF=BF=BD=09Minimum of 10 years System Admin/Architecture experience in a 2=
4x7 production operation.
=EF=BF=BD=09Minimum of 5 years of Information Security experience in an ISP=
 or other networking environment.
