Kforce Professional Staffing is one of the nation's foremost staffing
companies and we are currently seeking a Senior Level Business Analyst
for a direct hire opportunity at our downtown Cincinnati, Ohio client.
Our client provides enterprise software solutions to the commercial
insurance industry.
 

The Sr. BA is responsible for being on site for product implementations
and doing business requirements analyst.  In addition, the BA will:

Develop road maps

Provide training to clients

Write requirements

Provide QA testing(mainly manual)

Work with previous vendor packages

 

This position requires EXCELLENT communication skills.  A background in
programming is a plus (this product is written in cobol but will be
moving to java).  Technical knowledge is great but not required.  There
will be UP TO 75% travel - can travel home on weekends as our client
embraces a work life balance.  Some occasional Sunday travel will be
required if the client requires. A corporate travel credit card is
provided.

 

The Sr. BA is responsible for providing reinsurance expertise; assist
project manager prepare detailed project plan and manage assigned tasks;
provide on-site assistance and coaching of the reinsurance systems;
develop training materials and provide training to clients; develop and
implement test plans and test schedules, maintain test environments,
create test beds, test software and documentation, and analyze test
results and status reporting. In addition, they will identify, analyze,
and document defects 



The St. BA will work with clients and management using their strong
analytical skills to solve diverse problems where limited precedents or
guidelines may exist. They will need to be able to understand the
business problem and the impact on the technical system. This individual
will have the ability to lead a team of business personnel on various
projects and direct their activities as well as have the ability to
perform the activities themselves. 

Responsibilities include the following:
Leads or participates in a business requirement analysis and
documentation of client workflow and procedures, and processing gaps.
Identifies and evaluates tailoring and implementation of vendor-supplied
software packages.
Trains internal and external clients on the use of software programs.
Develops and executes test plans, and provides regular reports to
clients and project managers of testing status
Able to take responsibility for assigning business analysis personnel
various projects and direct their activities.
Guides less-experienced business analysts and clients on how to
configure vendor-supplied software packages to meet business
requirements. 
Excellent understanding of how critical project completion is to client
satisfaction.
Excellent communication skills to interact with external, as well as,
internal clients for the purpose of requirements analysis. At this
level, the interaction may involve a great deal of writing. As a result,
strong writing skills are required.
Independent judgment is a must.
Completes other tasks as assigned.



Experience:
3 to 5 years of progressive business analyst experience



Education/Certifications/Training:
B.S. in Computer Science or Finance/Accounting
Associate in Reinsurance designation and/or CPCU designations are a plus



Preferred Qualifications and Requirements
Exposure to the P&C insurance / reinsurance industry is a plus.
Prior experience working for a software vendor is a plus.
Prior experience working with URS (Universal Reinsurance System) or FRS
(Freedom Reinsurance System) is a plus.
Microsoft Project is a plus.
