Experienced technician in installation, operation, and troubleshooting of E=
MC enterprise class storage units.  The candidate needs experience in both =
host side and SAN side management.  Installation of HBA drivers, PowerPath,=
 NaviAgent, and other storage related applications on both Unix and Windows=
 platforms.  This position will also include responsibility for management =
of Cisco and Brocade fiber switching.  There will also be weekend maintenan=
ce window and emergency after hour=EF=BF=BDs responsibility.=20

Principal Responsibilities:
=EF=BF=BD=09Work with Data Management Infrastructure team members, systems =
and database administrators to deploy storage solutions which meet business=
 objectives.
=EF=BF=BD=09Deploy redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster=
 recovery and archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of sto=
red data assets.=20
=EF=BF=BD=09Manage SAN utilizing EMC Control Center.
=EF=BF=BD=09Create models for new storage developments.
=EF=BF=BD=09Install and configure new and existing storage devices and corr=
esponding software.
=EF=BF=BD=09Monitor the performance, problems, and failures on the SAN and =
provide solutions/fixes.
=EF=BF=BD=09Collaborate with Data Management peers and management in capaci=
ty planning and future storage requirements.
=EF=BF=BD=09Analyze storage equipment performance, collect information, and=
 prepare reports.
=EF=BF=BD=09Monitor and troubleshoot Data Management device status.
=EF=BF=BD=09Respond to and resolve Data Management, and data connectivity (=
fiber switch) issues.
=EF=BF=BD=09Remain informed on storage trends and issues, including current=
 and emerging technologies and best practices. Recommend and implement chan=
ges where necessary.
=EF=BF=BD=09Maintain integrity of data via the use of adopted tools and
techniques.
=EF=BF=BD=09Perform storage audits on a regular basis.


Minimum Qualifications:
=EF=BF=BD=09BS/BA in Computer Sciences, MIS, or related degree desirable.
=EF=BF=BD=09Candidate must have 3+ years in SAN infrastructure Management.
=EF=BF=BD=09Candidate must have a minimum of 7 - 10 years of experience in =
Information Technology.

=EF=BF=BD=09Certifications in EMC DMX, Clariion, Cisco, etc. a strong plus.
=EF=BF=BD=09Strong understanding of storage architecture design techniques,=
 theories, principles, and best practices.
=EF=BF=BD=09Working technical experience with designing, building, installi=
ng, configuring, and supporting storage hardware, including SAN infrastruct=
ure, Clariion, Centerra, and EMC DMX, series of equipment, and CDL.
=EF=BF=BD=09Cisco Inter VSAN routing.
=EF=BF=BD=09Solid skills in Unix and Windows operating systems.
=EF=BF=BD=09Solid skills in EMC software, reporting tools & methodologies.
=EF=BF=BD=09Experience with STK tape silos/disk drives and Legato Networker=
.
=EF=BF=BD=09Hands-on SAN /NAS/DAS troubleshooting experience.
=EF=BF=BD=09Knowledge of applicable data retention practices.
=EF=BF=BD=09Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, wit=
h strong technical documentation skills.
=EF=BF=BD=09Ability to conduct research into storage issues, standards, and=
 products.
=EF=BF=BD=09Keen attention to detail.
=EF=BF=BD=09Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
