Prepares and be responsible for all Medicaid billings; makes changes in 
admissions and discharges.
Advises and helps prepare Medicaid applications for Residents, prepares all 
private billing and Medicaid.
Handles daily census.
Prepares census sheets yearly and monthly for accountants, compiles information 
needed for cost report and liability insurance.
Receives, sorts and prepares all Residents= income checks for signature and has 
checks signed, processed and deposited.
Prepares and makes bank deposits.  Locks office when unoccupied.
Obtains allowance money and distributes to the Residents.
Prepares and deposits Residents= money in the bank and make withdrawals as 
needed for payment of their bills.
Posts all income and expenses regarding trust fund accounts to Residents= 
ledgers.  Balances Residents= accounts.
Works at reception desk to cover breaks, lunch and other times as necessary.
Reconciles bank books and statements for Residents= trust funds.
Posts quarterly interest for Residents= trust fund accounts and obtains 
quarterly signatures.  Conforms to State inspection guidelines regarding trust 
accounts.
Maintains strict CONFIDENTIALITY of Residents= records and information.
Attends all required in-services and meetings.
Helps Residents with their personal baking upon their request, i.e.:  paying 
bills; balancing check books; etc.
Meets with ODHS case worker monthly to verify eligibility for M/A Residents.
Acts as liaison between family members, Resident and ODHS.
Performs any other duties necessary to fulfill the primary duties and 
responsibilities of the position, as well as those assigned by your supervisor 
and/or management personnel.

Location: Clifton 
Requirements_Qualif: High school graduate with bookkeeping courses.  Further 
education in business school or college.
Two years of experience in bookkeeping preferred.
Knowledge of bookkeeping, clerical work and accounting.
Knowledge of computers and ability to learn the Homes system.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Ability to work with interruptions and to meet deadlines.
Courteous, understanding and respectful to Residents and those they deal with 
each day.
Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid a must.
Ability to keep abreast of changes in State and City Law, etc., regarding 
Medicare and Medicaid.
Accuracy in the maintenance of the Residents= files and accounts.
