 the building out and maintenance of a robust enterprise testing tool set, =
support test automation efforts, and will be looked to for innovative solut=

Principal Responsibilities:=20
=EF=BF=BD=09Execute load and performance tests against web-based applicatio=
ns, web service interfaces, and back-end server components.
=EF=BF=BD=09Interpret test documents and identify appropriate test solution=
s.  Setup and execute tests to specifications.  Document test results, iden=
tify and report defects, perform re-testing to ensure defects are properly =
resolved.
=EF=BF=BD=09Work with individuals and teams from various groups to gather a=
nd document system requirements related to performance, load, and product i=
nterfaces.  Assist with creation of test plans to capture test requirements=
, assumptions and test conditions. =20
=EF=BF=BD=09Identify production metrics important to performance/load testi=
ng efforts; assist with collection methods where feasible.
=EF=BF=BD=09Provide technical assistance to interface and system integratio=
n test efforts across Medplus systems. =20
=EF=BF=BD=09Assist with development and maintenance of enterprise test tool=
 set.  Identify and evaluate tool solutions to meet test needs. Support too=
ls and test infrastructure to ensure efficient, reliable operation.
=EF=BF=BD=09Support test automation efforts.  Provide scripting resource fo=
r focused, well-defined high-value projects.  Provide technical support to =
resolve tool issues.  Evaluate and/or develop secondary assets to support p=
rimary test automation tools.
=EF=BF=BD=09Identify innovative uses of automation throughout the testing p=
rocess.  Plan and effectively implement solutions.
=EF=BF=BD=09Participate in the review of new product requirements. Provide =
constructive feedback about the consistency and depth of the requirements r=
elated to performance, load, and interface implementations.=20
=EF=BF=BD=09Define, develop and execute test strategies considering risk an=
d cost of testing. Support the creation of project plans and activities tha=
t track progress against those plans.=20
=EF=BF=BD=09Assist QA Lead with other tasks related to load testing and aut=
omation.
=EF=BF=BD=09Report status to QA Lead, Product QA Manager.

Requirements_Qualif: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:=20
=EF=BF=BD=09Candidate should have professional experience with load and per=
formance testing in an enterprise environment.  Testing experience in a mul=
ti-tiered, web-based environment is a plus.
=EF=BF=BD=09Basic understanding of network, database, and server operation =
as they relate to load testing.  Familiar with high level design, operating=
 characteristics and test points of multi-tiered, web-based application
=EF=BF=BD=09Experience developing and executing automated tests.=20
=EF=BF=BD=09Experience with functional and/or load testing of web services =
is a plus
=EF=BF=BD=09Ability to understand architecture of products and subsystems. =
Able to identify and describe major components and public interfaces.  Able=
 to work with technical resources from other groups to identify critical sy=
stem interface and integration test points, and translate into measurable t=
est requirements.
=EF=BF=BD=09Previous programming experience using: VB.Net, Java, C++, or C#=
, C. Some scripting experience in KSH/Perl/Python/VBScript may be helpful.
=EF=BF=BD=09Familiarity with SQL/Oracle databases.  Previous experience wit=
h TOAD is a plus.=20
=EF=BF=BD=09Candidate should have basic working knowledge of UNIX/Linux/Win=
dows.=20
=EF=BF=BD=09Knowledge of HTTP/S, HTML, XML, JMS, SOAP/web services
=EF=BF=BD=09Knowledge of HL7, NCPDP, 270/271 messaging formats is a plus
=EF=BF=BD=09Familiarity with Apache, Weblogic, JRockit, and/or RedHat is a =
plus.
=EF=BF=BD=09Strong analytical and problem solving skills.=20
=EF=BF=BD=09Good oral and written communication skills.=20
Minimum Qualifications:=20
=EF=BF=BD=09At least 1 year experience executing software load and performa=
nce testing in an enterprise environment.
=EF=BF=BD=091 year experience developing and executing automated test asset=

=EF=BF=BD=091 year programming experience using VB, .NET (C# or VB), C, C++=
, Java, or other popular programming language.  Perl/Python/JavaScript scri=
pting experience may be considered equivalent.=20
=EF=BF=BD=09Comfortable with Unix/Linux/Windows operating systems.
=EF=BF=BD=09Bachelor's degree in computer science/information systems or eq=
uivalent degree or experience.=20
=EF=BF=BD=09Two years of experience in a formal QA role, or equivalent expe=
rience.=20
