-General Summary:  This position is responsible to implement the principles=
 of performance evaluation and prediction to improve product/systems safety=
, reliability and maintainability.  These duties have a major impact on the=
 company=EF=BF=BDs ability to market and maintain products in accordance wi=
th US and international requirements.

-Design review and control; prediction, estimation, and apportionment metho=
dology; failure mode effects and analysis; the planning, operation and anal=
ysis of reliability testing and field failures

-Manage failure investigation process to drive product improvements

-Assure the site Quality Systems comply with all applicable sections of 21C=
FR, ISO standards and internal quality system procedures

-Provide failure analysis of product systems for identification of correcti=
ve and preventative action

-Act as a backup to other department personnel in the performance of Techni=
cal File audits, product monitoring, device history file reviews and design=
 change review

Requirements_Qualif: -Engineering Bachelor=EF=BF=BDs Degree required

-Knowledge of statistics, probability theory, and reliability theory

-Experience and knowledge in ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 Quality Standards prefer=
red

-Experience in development of quality systems for FDA, GMP requirements pre=
ferred

-Excellent writing and interpersonal skills required

-Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

-ASQ Certification as a Quality Engineer and/or Reliability Engineer prefer=
red

-Must have ability to interact with all levels of the organization in a =EF=
=BF=BDhands on=EF=BF=BD manner

-Six Sigma Certification strongly preferred

-Able to function in a =EF=BF=BDhands on=EF=BF=BD environment; spend time o=
n the production floor with long-tenured employees in union environment

-Able to interact with Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, Purchasing, Six Sig=
ma project teams
