Requirements_Qualif: 
1.  Bachelor's degree in marketing.;

preferably in the hardware industry.
3.  Experience working with home centers, "big box" retailers, and co-op 
hardware chains.
4.  National account level presentation experience. Product development 
experience strongly preferred.
5.  Knowledge of Word, Excel, Windows, and statistical software.
6.  Excellent organization and planning skills - able to meet deadlines in a 
multi-task environment.
7.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - experience leading 
cross-functional teams.
8.  Good technical aptitude.
9.  Able to lead and motivate employees by guiding, training, and offering 
counsel.

Essential Functions




  1.. Develops, implements, and monitors marketing plans to ensure the 
achievement of objectives.

  2.. Develops and monitors budgets for designated product lines.

  3.. Works with the Sales staff to develop and implement cost effective sales, 
advertising, and promotional programs.

  4.. Provides ongoing management of the 'marketing mix' elements for 
designated of product lines.

  5.. Supports Field Service operations by ensuring that staff has current 
product information and training.

  6.. Coordinates ongoing market and competitive research to identify consumer 
needs.

  7.. Evaluates consumer needs and seeks new product opportunities.

  8.. Analyzes market demand and works with managers to determine how to ensure 
product line profitability (i.e., introduce new products, modify existing 
products, eliminate poor-performing products).

  9.. Researches, develops, and tests merchandising displays and 
point-of-purchase materials.

  10.. Analyzes product line data and works with management to develop sales 
forecasts.

  11.. Leads cross-functional teams in the development, design, and launch of 
new products.

  12.. Communicates with customers and suppliers to facilitate ongoing product 
improvements.

  13.. Develops and maintains relationships with industry leaders by networking 
and attending trade shows.

  14.. Maintains a current knowledge of the company's products and operations.

  15.. Supervises designated employees: communicates expectations; monitors and 
appraises job results; counsels and disciplines as needed; provides appropriate 
training and development; interviews applicants and selects new employees; 
monitors attendance.
