es. Programming skills are desirable.  Must be able to work in a fast paced=

Responsibilities:
=EF=BF=BD=09Installation of database software with an understanding of mult=
iple o/s platforms (Linux, Windows, AIX, HP, Sun).
=EF=BF=BD=09Transform Object Models and UML diagrams into relational databa=
se models.
=EF=BF=BD=09Translate Information Models to relational database models - un=
derstand and interpret Information Model (HL7 v3).
=EF=BF=BD=09Design databases for performance and scalability using the obje=
ct model, the information model or both.
=EF=BF=BD=09Create new databases for development as required.
=EF=BF=BD=09Synchronize changes between development and testing databases.
=EF=BF=BD=09Provide space estimates including analysis of database objects.
=EF=BF=BD=09Provide SQL assistance and advice.
=EF=BF=BD=09Develop stored procedures, functions and triggers.  May include=
 coding of products that sit on top of an Oracle database.
=EF=BF=BD=09Create and test migration scripts as required.
=EF=BF=BD=09Create documentation as required including diagrams and documen=
tation explaining the database, relationships and other structures.
=EF=BF=BD=09Stay current with emerging database technologies.
=EF=BF=BD=09Provide DBA services to internal clients.  Interact with the Pr=
ofessional Services Group (PSG); assisting with scripts/queries as requeste=
d / required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
=EF=BF=BD=09Oracle Certified Professional, 9i or greater.  MCDBA a plus.
=EF=BF=BD=09Demonstrated experience in following areas if preferred: applic=
ation development, hardware and software evaluation, capacity planning, app=
lication integration, data modeling, data warehouse design, and database re=
organization.
=EF=BF=BD=09Experience working with an ISP/ASP desirable.
=EF=BF=BD=09Experience with clustering and Oracle RAC preferred.
=EF=BF=BD=09UNIX (HPUX, LINUX) and Win2k system administration a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:
=EF=BF=BD=09BSEE/BSCS or other technical degree preferred, equivalent on th=
e job experience might be acceptable.
=EF=BF=BD=09Minimum of five years of experience Oracle DB administration in=
 a 24x7 production environment.
=EF=BF=BD=09Extensive experience with DB Performance tuning is required.
=EF=BF=BD=09Database capacity planning.
=EF=BF=BD=09Project management skills a plus.
