Provides a safe, comfortable operating environment by directing installatio=
n, maintenance and repair of machines, tools, and equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following. Other dutie=
s may be assigned.
1.=09Identifies current and future maintenance requirements by establishing=
rapport with management, engineering, and production personnel, tradesmen,=
technicians, and other persons in a position to understand maintenance req=
uirements.
2.=09Ensure production operations by assisting Department Manager to determ=
ine work priorities and scheduling repair, maintenance, and installation of=
machines, tools, and equipment.
3.=09Supports product development and improvement by reviewing new product =
plans, discussing equipment needs and modifications with design engineers; =
coordinating activities of technicians and workers fabricating or modifying=
machines, tools or equipment in the APQP meeting.
4.=09Design, implementation and modifying preventive and predictive mainten=
ance programs by reviewing production, maintenance reports, inspecting oper=
ating machines, equipment and systems for conformance with operational stan=
dards.
5.=09Directs maintenance operations by initiating, coordinating and enforci=
ng program, operation and personnel policies and procedures.
6.=09Completes maintenance operational requirements by scheduling and assig=
ning employees, to necessary tasks and following up to ensure acceptable re=
sults.
7.=09Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educationa=
l workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal =
networks.
8.=09Maintain Time Management in SAP.
9.=09Roles as defined by SAP PM Module implementation.
10.=09Performs maintenance duties as well as Facilities or grounds related =
duties.
11.=09Assists in ensuring that the facility is a safe working environment.
12.=09Establish, organize and facilitate continuous improvement committee a=
nd Maintenance Team meeting on a monthly basis by creating agenda items, di=
stributing minutes, following-up on issues discussed. =20
13.=09Act as a back-up to Facilities Manager.=20
14.=09Provide monthly maintenance report to Facilities Manager on various m=
aintenance issues. ie maintenance downtime, labor hours and other miscella=
neous items to be determined. =20
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.=09Directly supervises the maintenance department.
2.=09Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organi=
zation=92s policies and applicable laws.
3.=09Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
4.=09Assist with planning, assigning and directing work.
5.=09Assist with appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employe=
es.
6.=09Assist with addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eac=
h essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are represe=
ntative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associate=92s Degree (AA) from a two-year college, university or technical =
or five years related experience and/or training. Working knowledge of cur=
rent OSHA, EPA and similar regulatory compliance at both federal and state =
levels. =20
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, oper=
ating and maintenance instructions, technical procedure manuals or governme=
ntal regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond t=
o questions from groups of managers. Ability to read metric drawings, elec=
trical, hydraulic, pneumatic diagrams and PLC ladder programs.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtract=
ion, multiplication and division, fractions, percentages, ratios, and propo=
rtions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete var=
iables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to=
interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, o=
r schedule form.

1.=09While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly re=
quired to stand; move around the plant; handle or feel objects, tools, or c=
ontrols, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear. The associate is occasio=
nally required to walk, climb, balance, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
2.=09The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequen=
tly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up =
to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the a=
bility to adjust focus.
