This highly technical position is responsible for providing direct support =
of Load & Performance testing.  Activities will include but not be limited =
to: planning, production data analysis, test environment support, setup & e=
xecution of tests, problem diagnosis support, and reporting of results from=
 test efforts.  Testing to be conducted will span benchmark, stress, perfor=
mance, scalability, failover, feature, tuning, and specific requests as nec=
essary to sustain the reliable operation of MedPlus products in production.=
  This position will focus on our HUB and Physician Portal product lines, i=
nvolving primarily web services (SOA) and web (HTTP) based testing.


MedPlus software is focused on the management of medical records and labora=
tory test orders and results, utilizing a rich variety of technologies: Web=
/J2EE, Java, Client Server, SOA (web service), JMS, Oracle, Weblogic, Apach=
e/Redline, JCAPS, and a variety of proprietary components/protocols across =
various OS/platforms. =20

Principal Responsibilities:=20

Participates in the review of product requirements related to load, perform=
ance, reliability, etc.  =20
Works with development, operations, PSG to define appropriate tests and con=
ditions=20
Creates and maintains scripts, utilities required to execute identified tes=
ting=20
Setup (data, environment, tools) and execute tests according to plans devel=
oped=20
Works with development engineers to identify and resolve defects.=20
Generates reports of testing results, recommends future testing=20
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:=20
Quality-oriented mind-set.  Past experience in a QA/Test/Certification/Debu=
gging role is desired.=20
Prior experience in load/performance testing of enterprise web, client-serv=
er, SOA based applications is desired. =20
Ability to understand fundamental architecture & interfaces of products und=
er test.=20
Ability to assist with diagnosis of complicated issues using a diverse tool=
 set across various aspects of system (database, J2EE layer, presentation l=
ayer, interfaces, network, load balancing, etc)=20
Prior experience with system administration, database administration, devel=
opment, networking is a plus=20
Prior QA, System Analysis experience is a plus. =20
Prior experience in an environment utilizing test automation is a plus=20

Experience with the following tools is a plus: LoadRunner (web, SOA), Paras=
oft SOATest, SiteScope=20
Experience with the following languages is a plus: Perl, Java, ksh/bash, .N=
ET=20
Experience with SQL and basic Oracle database operations/concepts is a plus=
=20
Experience with the following technologies is a plus: Weblogic, Apache, Cie=
nt-Server, SOA, Oracle RAC, JMS, J2EE, JMX, SSO, HTTP, HTML, XML, SOAP, .NE=
T=20
Knowledge of HL7, NCPDP, 270/271 messages are a plus=20
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.=20
Excellent oral & written communication skills=20

Minimum Qualifications:=20
Prior experience in load/performance testing against enterprise system(s)=
=20
Bachelor=EF=BF=BDs degree in computer science/information systems or equiva=
lent experience.=20
3 years in the software industry, involved in development, testing, adminis=
tration, or combination thereof.=20
1 year of experience in running SQL statements, preferably Oracle=20
