Item Processing Lead 
Business Unit:  FIG IP Operations - Central Region  
Location:  Cincinnati, OH  
Job Description:
HOURS: 
MINIMUM SALARY: 

POSITION PURPOSE: 
Provides leadership to within one or more item processing team or department. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides guidance and leadership to lower level personnel regarding items 
processing operations. 
- Under general direction, works with supervisor on schedules and new 
procedures; act as second-in-command for department supervisor. 
- Accurately batches and submits work to be processed on reader/sorter in a 
timely fashion. 
- Assists in balancing work and locating discrepancies. 
- Maintains all supplies and equipment for processing. 
- Operates office equipment necessary to process and balance daily checks. 
- Trains new balance clerks. 
- Interacts with and understands how other departments affect item processing. 
- Perform other duties as requested. 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: 
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred. 

Job Related Experience: Typically requires three to five years item processing 
experience. 

Functional Area Skills/Knowledge: Must have an overall understanding of the 
organization, work environment and process with an intermediate knowledge of 
items processing operations and an intermediate level of technical skills 
required to complete assignments. Familiarity with banking operations is 
required. Ability to read and write is required. Must possess the ability to 
become proficient in 10 key calculator skills. Must possess great math 
aptitude, and debit/credit balancing ability. Ability to work independently and 
learn item processing procedures is necessary. Excellent organizational skills 
and manual dexterity skills required.
