General Summary:
The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for providing leadershi=
p and establishing strategic direction in all aspects of Human Resources fo=
r the company - focusing on fostering and maintaining a positive and health=
y company culture, leadership and talent development, and employee engageme=
nt that supports the growth and profitability of the company.=20

=EF=BF=BD Effectively lead company-wide human capital initiatives that impa=
ct the key value drivers of the organization (such as employee relations, w=
orkforce planning, talent acquisition, retention, training and development,=
 succession planning, performance management, contractor compliance, and re=
wards and recognition).
=EF=BF=BD Adopt the role of Trusted Advisor for the leadership team, employ=
ees and contractors within the organization. Provide coaching and guidance =
at all levels =EF=BF=BD including to the President & CEO, peers, and direct=
 reports.=20
=EF=BF=BD Identify the need for additions or changes to corporate policies =
and procedures as well as develop policies and communicate them to the staf=
f.
=EF=BF=BD Manage benefit program administration and work with external prov=
iders to resolve benefit issues.
=EF=BF=BD Respond to and resolve any workers compensation claims or legal i=
ssues and implement and assure compliance with legal and regulatory require=
ments.=20

Requirements_Qualif: Requirements:
=EF=BF=BD Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Human=
 Resources or related field. PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
=EF=BF=BD 5+ years of progressive Human Resources Generalist experience inc=
luding management of the HR function and direct reports. Oversight of multi=
ple locations and implementation of Quality Programs and related training w=
ould be a plus.=20
=EF=BF=BD Experience in transportation or distribution environments and exp=
erience working with independent contractors would be a plus.
=EF=BF=BD General broad-based knowledge of Human Resource principles, pract=
ices, laws, regulations, policies and the proven ability to interpret and a=
pply them in daily interactions.
=EF=BF=BD Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writ=
ing with people at all levels and in a diverse range of settings.
=EF=BF=BD Ability to analyze and present information to the management team=
 that enables good business decisions, and demonstrated conviction and cour=
age in driving focus around key people issues.=20
=EF=BF=BD A self-motivated, proactive and energetic individual with strong =
ability to problem-solve and provide innovative solutions=20
=EF=BF=BD Proven ability to counsel departmental managers and senior manage=
ment on HR practices=20
=EF=BF=BD Must be entrepreneurial, extremely professional and exhibit high =
morals, integrity, and strong character.
