Local tri-state manufacturer of medical power safety and wire management 
systems is looking for a qualified addition to our Engineering Team.  This is a 
full-time, salaried position and will report to the Vice President of 
Engineering.

The Electrical Product Design Engineer will lead development projects from 
conception to launch.  Projects will be a mix of major new designs and 
incremental product or process improvements.  This individual will provide 
technical expertise and leadership (non-supervisory) throughout project, 
including: specification, design, validation testing, vendor selection, 
production training, technical documentation, and initial maintenance.  You 
will support both internal and external customer needs and ensure compliance 
with all corporate policies.



Responsibilities

Manage schedules and budgets for multiple development projects
Achieve desired product functional specifications
Create and maintain suitable documentation (design, maintenance, and marketing)
Secure appropriate international product certifications (UL, CE, ect.)
Identify and develop relevant consultant and supplier partners
Work in cross-functional teams along with members of sales, marketing, 
production, and quality departments to ensure commercial success of new 
products.
May require travel (up to 10%) including international

Requirements_Qualif: Qualifications

BS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field with at least 5 
years experience in design, project management, and commercialization of 
electronic devices including hardware and firmware design
Experience with electro-medical devices including FDA and IEC-60601-1 is 
preferred
Experience in electrical analog and digital circuit design, manufacturing, and 
troubleshooting is required
Must be experienced in performing hazard and failure mode analyses, and 
proposing appropriate solutions
Working knowledge of patents / IP analysis a plus
