is seeking to fill Computer Programmer Analyst (CPA) positions.  These empl=
oyees are responsible for performing user desktop support, setting up new d=
esktop PCs and laptops, troubleshooting connectivity problems, mapping netw=
ork drives and printers, installing software, and performing research as ne=
eded.  In addition, these employees will be responsible for providing backu=
p support to MSDGC=EF=BF=BDs Help Desk as needed.  Computer Programmer Anal=
ysts will utilize working knowledge of Microsoft XP operating system, Activ=
e Directory Administration tools, Microsoft Office, Oracle Client, Symantec=
 Ghost, TCP/IP, and SNMP (ping, trace) to accomplish their work.  Eligible =
candidates must demonstrate exceptional customer service aptitude and probl=
em solving skills, the ability to communicate and document effectively, be =
adept at multi-tasking, and work well in a team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Each applicant must have completed a total of 36 credit ho=
urs from an accredited college or university in computer science, informati=
on technology, and/or computer programming and=20
18-quarter credit hours in one or more of the following areas: geography, e=
ngineering, business administration, public administration, chemistry, math=
ematics, or a related field OR each applicant must have completed 18-quarte=
r credit hours from an accredited college or university in computer science=
, information technology, and/or computer programming.  In addition, each a=
pplicant must have one year of professional, paid work experience in comput=
er support and/or troubleshooting OR each applicant must have completed 18-=
quarter credit hours from an accredited college or university in computer s=
cience, information technology, and/or computer programming and six months =
of professional, paid work experience in computer support and/or troublesho=
oting.  In addition, each applicant must have completed an extended certifi=
cation program (i.e. Novell or Windows NT engineer, Microsoft MCSE or Oracl=
e DBA).  Completion of other certification programs not listed will be revi=
ewed on a case-by-case basis.  Some positions may require a criminal backgr=
ound investigation and fingerprinting due to the sensitive nature of the wo=
rk.  May be required to work irregular hours and be on-call.  All required =
experience must have occurred within the last (5) five years.  You are requ=
ired to show your valid driver's license to the Human Resources Department =
