Duties and Responsibilities
(75%) Business Services Unit Account Representative
1.=09Act as the single point of contact by industry segment to the local bu=
siness community.
2.=09Identifies and problem solves the needs of local businesses.
3.=09Connect business customers to the appropriate services to meet needs.
4.=09Develop a strong business relationship with assigned business segment =
accounts.
5.=09Determine business service levels, coordinating with BSU Manager, conc=
erning Tier 1 businesses that have high impact to environment.
6.=09Develop a Network within the business community (Chambers, business as=
sociations, human resource associations, trade associations) to maintain an=
d develop expertise regarding the local business climate.
7.=09Access information, resources, and services on behalf of business cust=
omers.
8.=09Act as a =EF=BF=BDconsultant=EF=BF=BD to walk business customers throu=
gh services and programs.
9.=09Assist business customers in growing their businesses and reducing tur=
nover by providing quality employees.
10.=09Responsible for the BSU team=EF=BF=BDs placement of a minimum of 600 =
participants per contract year.
11.=09Maintain relationships with existing business customers and stakehold=
ers.
(25%) Marketing Responsibilities
1.=09Utilizing labor market, employment and other available data, target lo=
cal businesses that provide the best opportunities of success.
2.=09Track patterns of supply/demand (available workforce/business needs) t=
o determine marketing plan.
3.=09Maintain a thorough understanding of programs and services that are av=
ailable to local businesses.
4.=09Define deliverables, track and report.
5.=09Prepare and give presentations to local business associations.
6.=09Create systems and processes to communicate to business customers.
7.=09Coordinate efforts with the local partnership, WIB, Economic Developme=
nt Council, and Chambers of Commerce.
8.=09Check quality of other points of contact for business customers (e.g. =
order control, business services desk, etc.).
9.=09Contribute to the development of local service area marketing plans.
10.=09Track customer service satisfaction.
11.=09Identify system/delivery problems (including web-based, self serve) a=
nd work with appropriate parties to correct.
12.=09Prepare reports as required.
13.=09Interviews participants to intensely review their job search progress=
report, resume, application, appearance and any other potential barriers t=
o employment
14.=09Receives, writes and distributes job openings to order control. Assi=
st with timely verification of job orders. Attends team meetings to facili=
tate communication of job opportunities to all staff. Evaluates accomplish=
ments and makes appropriate recommendations to maximize effectiveness of em=
ployer relations program.
