The Business Development Advisor is an Inside Sales position for someone who 
enjoys challenging situations where results can be achieved through persuasion 
within a specialist area of expertise.  The Advisor is responsible for 
generating sales leads which lead to Discovery Sales Calls with clients in 
partnership with Sales.  The Advisor makes frequent telephone cold calls to new 
and existing customers, probing for problems that FORTE could solve through 
various supply chain solutions offerings.   Calls are customized to each client 
based on research on the company and reviews of the customer database prior to 
the call.  All calls are documented.  The BD Advisor must be very knowledgeable 
about the Supply Chain industry and FORTE services and offerings.  Importantly, 
the Advisor creates and nurtures long-term relationships with a wide range of 
clients.  The BD Advisor frequently interacts with the VP level or higher at 
clients and must exhibit the highest level of poise and professionalism on the 
phone.  The Advisor must be comfortable with a long sales cycle while at the 
same time be impatient for results using persistent and tenacious follow-up and 
appropriately driving the client to a decision.  Excellent written 
communication skills are also required to collaborate with Sales to finalize 
proposals.

Requirements_Qualif: At least 7 years previous sales experience, including 
inside sales experience.  Business-to-business sales experience is a must.
