The Business Analyst =EF=BF=BD Healthcare Information Systems is a dedicate=

e requirements specification construction and is responsible for all activi=
ties related to the development of quality requirement specifications for e=
ach product/service line.  Business Analysts will focus on coordination and=
 completion of the requirements specifications phase, coordinate meetings a=
nd elicit information from development, and contribute during the Business =
Analysis phase.  The completion of the SRS document will be the responsibil=
ity of the Business Analyst but will be overseen and managed by the Require=
ments Manager.  Additionally, the Business Analyst will have the necessary =
time to conduct critical end user interviews, researching customer and mark=
et information, obtain information from professional services, working with=
 marketing, sales and other internal organizations. =20

Principal Responsibilities:

Function as a liaison and advisor in analysis and evaluation of hospital, p=
hysician and lab user needs and serve as the expert resource for assisting =
end users in identifying business requirements and planning system developm=
ent needs.=20
Coordinate and manage Business Analysis of new requirements and complete al=
l appropriate documentation.=20
Coordinate and manage Requirements Analysis of new requirements and complet=
e the construction of Software Requirements Specification document.=20
Coordinate meetings and work closely with all internal organizations to eli=
cit information during the Business Analysis and Requirements Analysis phas=
es.=20
Work closely with development and all functional departments, to insure acc=
uracy in the information represented in the Business Analysis and Requireme=
nts documents.=20
Adhere to the processes and methodologies defined for requirements developm=
ent.=20
Work with end users and customers to elicit information.=20
Analysis and interpretation of information gathered in order to define the =
most effective solutions to the requirements being worked on.=20
Documentation of all requirements in a clear, concise, and professional man=
ner that can be read by multiple audiences. =20
Ability to work on multiple requirement projects simultaneously. =20

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Healthcare IS experience and/or a combination of electronic prescription pr=
ocessing, automated online insurance and payer services, Electronic Medical=
 Records (EMR) systems, Practice Management systems (PMS), Medical Billing =
systems, Computer-based Patient Record systems, Laboratory Information Syst=
ems (LIS) and Document Management Systems.=20
HIPAA Compliance=20
Polished written and communication skills=20
Ability to conduct presentations=20
Technical understanding of enterprise and web based systems=20
Ability to manage multiple activities in parallel=20
Demonstrated ability in creative problem solving=20
Ability to evaluate and manage system functional details to determine all p=
otential problems are identified and the most effective solution to the pro=
blems are identified.=20
Demonstrated experience in analysis of business processes, business rules, =
and process workflow.  =20
Demonstrated ability to manage relationships and influence results among gr=
oups both internal and external.=20

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in related field  =20
Minimum 1-3 years of demonstrated related work experience.=20
Healthcare Information Systems (HIS background is required.=20
=20
