Mission Statement: Creates, integrates and maintains application and automa=
tion software to provide consistent/repeatable performance, meet or exceed =
business requirements, comply with best practices/policies, and sustain or =
improve the availability and usage of enterprise wide software systems.=20
Accountabilities: Apply Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) structured d=
evelopment techniques to all software related development projects.  Config=
ure, maintain, and expand usage of OPW=EF=BF=BDs Business Intelligence (BI)=
 tools (Cyber Query, Winbatch, scripts, etc) and the Glovia ERP System.  Ai=
d in the configuration and maintenance of corporate database technologies (=
Oracle, MSSql, Access).  Drive reasonable, appropriate, and supportable exp=
ansion and integration of major corporate software systems.  Provide 24x7 p=
roduction support as appropriate and necessary.
Specific Responsibilities:
=EF=BF=BD=09Become skilled in the business requirements analysis, solution =
design/documentation, unit testing/verification and day-to-day user adminis=
tration of the Glovia ERP system.  Detail design and solution programming i=
n Glovia is outsourced to a ProIV knowledgeable resource.
=EF=BF=BD=09Become the corporate technical expert at administrating, config=
uring, maintaining and integrating the Cyber Query Business Intelligence en=
vironment.  In addition, become the in-house expert for building business r=
eports and objects in Cyber Query.
=EF=BF=BD=09Partner with other IT resources to administer, monitor and supp=
ort the production Glovia ERP application and integrated systems to provide=
 sustained integrity, security, and availability.  This may include such it=
ems as backups, environment (code and data) refreshes, code migration/chang=
e methods/practices, user security, patch application, database consistency=
 and integrity, etc.  Expert DBA resources can be outsourced if required.
=EF=BF=BD=09Provide timely and responsive day-to-day end-user support, trou=
ble shooting and problem determination/resolution on assigned application s=
ystems to maintain maximum application availability.  This can include team=
 triage to diagnose end-to-end problem determination.
=EF=BF=BD=09Drive business requirements gathering/definition, technical des=
ign, user design approval, change documentation, detail design and implemen=
tation, unit testing, production installation, and user acceptance testing =
on assigned software systems.
=EF=BF=BD=09Interface and coordinate with external consultants or service p=
roviders on technical support issues, contracted customizations and integra=
tion requirements and deliverables.
=EF=BF=BD=09Evaluate and/or install new or different technologies that can =
sustain or improve application usage and integration at OPW.=20
=EF=BF=BD=09Partner with OPW business representatives (user-owners) to dete=
rmine appropriate implementation methods and usage to meet or exceed the bu=
siness requirements.
=EF=BF=BD=09Provide appropriate application system support for OPW off-site=
 users (i.e. Richards Industries, FCS/Smithfield, POMECO, Europe, etc.) as =
needed and appropriate.
=EF=BF=BD=09Coordinate with the work of an IT Co-Op when available and allo=
cated to assigned projects.=20
=EF=BF=BD=09Other duties as assigned by manager.
Minimum Requirements:
=EF=BF=BD=09Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Science in Engin=
eering, Information Systems, Information technology, Systems Analysis or si=
milar degree.
=EF=BF=BD=092 or more years experience as a programmer/analyst in a commerc=
ial environment interfacing with end users and translating user requirement=
s into production software.
=EF=BF=BD=091 or more years experience designing/writing SQL queries and/or=
 building business intelligence reports/charts.=20
=EF=BF=BD=091 or more years performing end-user support of some kind.  Unde=
rstand the application of a helpdesk and the typical symptom-solution work =
flow process.  =20
=EF=BF=BD=09Willingness to learn the Cyber Science Business Intelligence (B=
I) tool set and the operational/business application of Glovia in the enter=
prise.
