the lives people with disabilities and their families.  This individual will 
create a sense of connectedness for members and constituents encourage the 
development of shared visions, networks and coalitions; provide platforms and 
opportunities for members and constituents to articulate their needs and 
participate in the advocacy process. Media resources will be important 
promotion and advocacy tools in this process.  This individual will need to be 
understanding of the needs of people with disabilities and knowledgeable about 
public policy issues affecting the disability community.  Public speaking 
ability and community organizing skill will lead to success of this exciting
