Description:
General Summary:
Centennial, Inc. has been retained by one of our
valued clients in the Dayton area to identify a sales
"super star" for the critical position of Account
Executive. The Account Executive will call on
employers ranging from 2 employees to thousands of
employees, as well as Brokers and Independent Agents
to assist clients in applying dental benefits to meet
their needs through custom-designed benefit packages.
The company offers the region's largest network of the
industry's finest dentists spanning throughout Ohio,
as well as areas of Kentucky, Indiana and Michigan.
Responsibilities:
* Work within assigned sales territory to identify and
call on potential clients utilizing advertising
campaigns, mailing lists, and personal contacts with
clients and/or through broker relationships. Interview
prospective clients/brokers to evaluate dental benefit
requirements and financial goals and follow-up on
sales leads.
* Develop a full understanding of the industry,
company history/philosophy and services provided and
maintain a competitive edge by staying aware of the
competition.
* Establish and maintain relationships with current &
prospective brokers and clients via networking and
regular contact. Represent the company at Association
meetings, trade shows (booths, exhibits) and other
functions as required.
* Complete and submit Request for Rates to sales
support personnel for processing proposal information.
* Develop and deliver sales proposals, close deals and
finalize contracts for the sale of group dental
benefits in a professional and effective manner.
Educate clients and advise on dental benefit packages.
* Participate in sales forecasting and planning in an
effective manner. Meet established sales quotas and
revenue goals.
* Maneuver through and manage Sales and Prospect
databases and other resources using a personal
computer.
* Manage assigned sales budget in a timely and
effective manner.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree from four-year college or
university; or one to two years of direct sales
experience; or equivalent combination of education and
experience. Prior successful medical or dental sales
experience is strongly preferred.
* License to sell Life and Health in assigned service
area. Maintain current licensure by attending
continuing education courses as required by Ohio
Department of Insurance.
* Ability to write professional business
correspondence and creative sales and marketing
correspondence.
* Ability to effectively present information and
respond to questions from all levels of employees,
groups of managers, clients, customers, and the
general public.
* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as
percentages, discounts and commissions.
* Strong customer orientation, both internally and
externally.
* Must be extremely professional and an independent,
self-starter who can also work effectively as part of
a team.
* Position involves extensive daytime travel with some
overnight as required.
* Must have and maintain a current/valid driver?s
license and any special certificates required for
performance of job duties.
