Supervises and coordinates activities of production workers by performing the 
following duties.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and 
adjustments of machines.

Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for 
completion of job assignment.

Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.

Interprets specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties within 
work rule guidelines.

Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.

Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and 
quality of product.

Recommend measures to improve lean manufacturing methods.  

Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase 
efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.

Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work 
problems.

Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.

Communicates clear goals one on one and in group settings.

Conducts regular two-way communications.

Participates in teams to work together to achieve and meet operational goals.

Enforces standard work.

Implements 5S systems.

Recognize quality issues (i.e. good and bad welds) and take appropriate actions.

Coach employees with disciplinary issues. 

Maintains time and production records.

Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.

Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual 
departments.

Performs activities of workers supervised.

Ensures that people are utilized so that efficiencies are met.  

Assures on time delivery. 

Perform STOP observation in support of the safety effort.  

Supports environmental and safety programs and helps work toward improvements.

Supervises a total of 30 or more employees on 3rd shift. Is responsible for the 
overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.

Location: Gettysburg, Ohio
Requirements_Qualif: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or 
university; and one to three years related experience and/or training; or 
equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of 5S and Lean Principles.
