This project is an expansion of the PID Item Database and will be used by a number of other applications teams and the Data Warehouse. The technical environment includes CICS, APS, Business Objects, DB2, IMS and MQ Series. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  Detailed design, coding and testing of new programs for the expansion of the PID system to support Store-Item Authorization (SATH).  Coding and testing of enhancements to the PID systems in support of SATH.  Assisting with integration testing, user acceptance testing, and parallel testing.  Production set-up for jobs to run at the CDC. REQUIREMENTS:  Experience with MVS tools and programming languages such as APS/Cobol II (first priority), PL/I, JCL and CICS on-line processes.  Experience with DB2 databases.  Highly motivated and team oriented.  Strong analytical and problem solving skills.  Kroger MVS environment experience a plus.  Experience with ChangeMan is a plus.  Knowledge of Business Objects is a plus.  Understanding of data transfer tools such as MQ Series and Connect:Direct is a plus.  Expected duration is through May of 2006.
