The primary function of the Manufacturing Technical Services team is to pro=
vide administration and advanced technical support for Windows and Unix app=
lications that run at Kroger=EF=BF=BDs Corporate Data Centers.   This inclu=
des support for both purchased and custom applications.  The current purcha=
sed applications include: Manufacturing ERP (Adage), CMMS (Empac), Logistic=
s (Trucks), and HR (Performance Impact, Scorecard).  The custom developed a=
pplications include VB, Domino, and J2EE (Websphere/Tomcat). =20

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

=09Provide support for the Windows 2000/2003 operating system and a=
pplications.
=09Provide support for VMWare ESX and GSX host servers.
=09Interface with application teams to collect information regardin=
g system malfunctions.
=09Interface with application vendors to locate software patches, o=
r develop workarounds.
=09Develop and maintain technical and super-user documentation.
=09Provide technical support to the application development teams.=

=09Provide administration for the in-house lab.
=09Provide 24x7 application technical support on a rotating basis.
=09Develop and maintain technical support procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

=09Experience with Intel based server technology.
=09Experience with Windows NT-based operating systems (Windows 2000=
/2003).
=09Experience with relational databases and Structured Query Langua=
ge(SQL).
=09Strong technical skills (operating systems, application programm=
ing, troubleshooting).
=09Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently.
=09Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
=09Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
=09Strong customer service skills.
=09Highly motivated with good oral and written communication skills=
.

OTHER RELATED EXPERIENCE:

=09Experience with some or all of the following is a plus.
o=09Experience supporting ERP, CMMS, Logistics or similar applications
