Job Placement Specialist

Responsible for marketing the one-stop program to the business community and
referral agents, networking with a variety of Human Resources Departments,
developing employment plans for persons with severe mental illness, and
placing these clients in full time, competitive jobs in the community.
Responsible to provide the following services:  one-on-one career
exploration/development sessions, resume critiquing, individualized job
searches and other supports to assist the clients to obtain employment.

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Human Services with two
years of related experience in marketing and/or public relations or
combination of six years of combined education and experience required.
Knowledge of methods/techniques in effectively working with the target
population; behavior management principles; work and personal adjustment
methodology; and demonstrated skills in the areas of coordination of
multiple task concurrently, interpersonal and communication skills, cultural
competency, acquiring/evaluating information, basic computer and keyboard
knowledge, crisis intervention and engaging/disengaging effectively with
individuals with severe mental illness.  Position requires use of personal
mobile phone.  Position requires frequent driving of own vehicle. Valid
driver's license, vehicle and insurable driving record are required.
