Job Posting

 

The following position is available in the Technical Support Department:

 

Position:           Database Administrator 

 

Responsibilities:            Provides daily support, monitoring and
administration for the Bank's PC/server-based database management systems
and associated environments.  Provides Information Systems staff with
database management system installation and configuration assistance,
technical guidance and/or solutions in the areas of logical and physical
database architecture and management, data migration, data security, and
data capacity planning.

 

Qualifications:    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or the equivalent
with two to four years of database administration experience is required.
Two to four years of Microsoft SQL Server database administration
experience.  Experience working with Microsoft Windows 2003 Server and
Windows XP Workstation or greater environments.  Experience troubleshooting
MS SQL Server or Oracle performance and connectivity.  Knowledge and
experience working with relational data modeling principles and techniques,
denormalized data structures, ad hoc query/reporting environments, mid to
high volume databases.

 

Working Conditions:       Requires daily interaction with PCs and terminals
for majority of duties.  Exposed to moderate noise volume when working in
Computer Room.  Lifting and moving by hand equipment of approximately 30
lbs.  Must be able to quickly respond to problems that affect production
database systems up time, occasionally requiring work outside the Bank's
normal business hours (i.e. weekends, evenings or early morning).
