J.S.F.G. Members,
One of the most valuable resources the J.S.F.G. offers our
members is the monthly publication of our Professional Profiles booklet to
over 700 local companies who have agreed to accept the publication and use
it as a recruiting source. For a mere $10 per profile, per month, you can
put a mini resume in front of that many hiring Managers every month. It's a
great networking tool, completely anonymous, and controlled by you. What is
published is the profile you create, under a unique ID number known only to
the J.S.F.G. office personnel who take the call from the hiring company when
your profile catches their attention. Your fellow volunteers working the
office then contact you with the company's information, and it's up to you
to contact the employer and discuss your possibilities. All the we do
insist on is that you do contact the companies that respond to your profile,
so that J.S.F.G. maintains credibility as a recruiting source. The $10
just about covers the printing & mailing costs, and helps support the vast
number of other free services offered by J.S.F.G.
The J.S.F.G. Steering Committee urges all Members to take
advantage of this resource, and it's a simple step. On the J.S.F.G. web
site at www.jsfg.com, down the right side of the home page is a list of
links. One of those links is: "JSFG Profile Submissions". Clicking there
will bring up instructions and a simple form for you to complete and submit.
That's all there is to it. Due to our print space constraints we can only
accept 250 characters in the body of the profile, including spaces &
punctuation. Profile Committee members reserve the right to review and edit
as necessary for correct format and spelling. The monthly $10 fee can be
paid at any weekly general meeting, left in the J.S.F.G. office Profiles
mailbox, (with name & contact information), or mailed to the the J.S.F.G.
office, attention: Profiles.
The submission deadline for the June '04 Profile Booklet is May
17th & payment needs to be received by the 24th. I strongly urge you to get
your submissions in as early as possible, to help the Profiles Committee
avoid the last minute rush, and increased possibility for errors. If you
already have a profile on file and simply want to renew it, payment of the
fee will generate a receipt that will be used to alert the Profiles
Committee to renew your most recent profile. Again, this is a valuable
networking tool and I urge you to put it to work for you.
Thanks in Advance, and Good Job Hunting,
Dave Estell
J.S.F.G. Profiles Chairperson
