Examples of Duties Performed:
This list of duties is not exhaustive, and duties may
be added, deleted or changed at any time without
notice.

1. Troubleshoot, repair and maintain computer
networks, software and hardware.

2. Responsible for telephone and telecommunications
systems.

3. Install and maintain computers, LAN's, WAN's and
associated equipment.

4. Must conform to high security environment and
execute the rules governing the Scripps company
security policies. 

5. Maintain documentation of the computer network
daily. 

6. Perform other duties as directed by the Director of
Engineering, I.T. Manager, Chief Engineer, and General
Manager.

Requirements:

Education: Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent
experience.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a computer-related
field with computer networking experience.  Thorough
knowledge of computers, Microsoft software, and Cisco
switches and routers.  Working knowledge of satellite
dishes and receivers preferred.  Working knowledge of
a Commercial Television Station is a plus.

Skills/Abilities: 
- Must possess good computer networking, people and
organizational skills. 

- Knowledge of  Auto-Cad, Visio and Macintosh are a
plus. 

- Knowledge of the  Sarbanes-Oxley Act is desirable.

Must work well with others in a team environment.     
                                                      


License/Certificate: 
- Must possess a valid driver's license and provide
proof of insurance.  

- Cisco and or Microsoft  certification is desirable.
